Something Else is a gospel album by Yinka Ayefele, the Yoruba gospel and tungba artist behind Fresh FM in Ibadan. It came early in his catalogue, following his debut Bitter Experience and its follow up Sweet Experience, and writer Dami Ajayi has pointed to it as the record where Ayefele's signature sound really came together. That sound splits each album into two moods, an upbeat, hymn heavy Side A and a livelier, party mode Side B, and this one shows off the range within that format, mixing standard gospel praise with outside styles like Makossa. Like most of his catalogue, it leans on long, medley style tracks built for singing along rather than radio play.
