Otu Ubochi Onye Nwe Anyi Gabia is one of several albums from Voice of the Cross, the duo of Apostle Lazarus Chukwuoma and Rev. Emmanuel Ogbonna who became two of the defining voices in Nigerian gospel music through the 1970s and 80s. The pair met at a church in Aba and built a sound that leaned on highlife and Igbo language singing more than Western gospel conventions.
