William Onyeabor was a Nigerian musician and businessman from Enugu. People know him for his unique synth heavy funk sound from the late 1970s and early 1980s. He ran his own imprint called Wilfilms and released his music by himself. He dropped several albums between 1977 and 1985. His songs mixed deep grooves, big basslines, and bold messages about life, love, and doing the right thing. William kept a very private life. He later stepped away from music and focused on his business and faith.
